A proposal on ‘Suggesting Government leadership that encourages enterprises to source and import resources that are of long-term shortages’ was tabled by Mr. Yao YiDe, who represents members of the CPPCC from Hong Kong, was highly recognized by the Jiangxi Development and Reform Commission.

The Commission considered that in the proposal such as how to lead and support enterprises in the province to use the advantage of the talents of geologists and mineralogists to go global quickly, and to develop reasonably and aggressively mine resources abroad has indeed become an urgent issue.

The Provincial Development and Reform Commission will a) report to the government, and suggest to create a favorable environment to include the “go global” exploration, development of mine resources as an important daily agenda of the leadership; b) aim at meeting the resource demand of core enterprises that continue to require increasing exploration and visit to rich overseas mine areas; c) establish and to solidify friendly cooperative relationship in alliance with the Department of Land and Resources of Jiangxi Province, Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Jiangxi Province, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Jiangxi Provincial People’s government，Jiangxi Provincial Economic & Trade Commission; d) establish corresponding policies and “go global” steps; e) set-up platform for information collection and announcement, build risk fund, and send delegations abroad to study and review.
